Key countries in the China East Asia Pacific (CEAP) region include China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. The regional management team in CEAP are also responsible for our bakery ingredients business in South Africa which supports the markets of Sub-Saharan Africa.

These countries represent bakery markets which are at very different stages in their market evolution and maturity. Levels of bread and cake consumption range from less than a kilo per person per year up to the high levels typical of consumption seen in European or North American markets. Consumer awareness, experience and expectations of products are also very varied but  AB Mauri companies are able to adapt to the different requirements of the market whilst ensuring the products sold are the best fit for each country.

The regional headquarters for AB Mauri CEAP is in Sydney, Australia,  which is also the site for the global technical centre for yeast. Key brands in the region include Serrol, Maurimix and Mauripan for bakers and Maurivin for winemakers and brewers.

The China East Asia Pacific region has seen dramatic increase in demand for bakery products especially in the demanding Chinese market. AB Mauri is well placed as a key provider of yeast and bakery ingredients to support bakery growth throughout the region.

Continuous investment in technology and new product development has also enabled the development and spread of new baked products in Australia and New Zealand.
